Aaron Copland Fund for Music: Performing Ensembles Program
In keeping with his lifelong devotion to contemporary music, Aaron Copland created the Aaron Copland Fund for Music. The Fund’s purpose is to encourage and improve public knowledge and appreciation of contemporary American music. The Performing Ensembles program’s objective is to support performing organizations whose artistic excellence encourages and improves public knowledge and appreciation of serious contemporary American music.
Amount: In general, grants range from $1,000-$20,000.
Eligibility: Non-profit professional performing ensembles with a history of substantial commitment to contemporary American music and with plans to continue that commitment. Ensembles must have a performance history of at least two years.
