Aging and Long-Term Services Department: Adult Protective Services – Day Care Services
The New Mexico Aging and Long-Term Services Department (ALTSD), Adult Protective Services Division (APS) is seeking to establish a contract for Adult Day Care Services for its clients in all New Mexico counties with the possibility of a multi-award contract for the larger service areas. Applicants may bid on one, multiple, and/or all counties.
Adult Day Care services will provide service hours in a licensed facility and a safe community setting that provides structure and supervision. Day care services are designed to help maintain cognitive, physical well-being, psychosocial functioning, facilitate independence, prevent premature institutionalization, and provide support to the client’s family members.
The day care services are designed for persons 18 years of age or older who have been referred to the contract provider by the ALTSD, APS Division. Select applicants will provide service hours for incapacitated adults who have functional limitations that impairs their ability to provide adequately for their own care or protection. These services are designed to enhance independence and maintain the individuals safely in their community.
The level of funding is not intended to meet all of each individual’s care and support needs. APS contracted day care provides some regular oversight in order to remediate abuse, neglect, or exploitation by assisting APS clients with essential tasks such as therapeutic support and psycho-social skills.
Amount: A contract will be awarded for an initial period of one year with three optional one year extensions.
Eligibility: An offeror is defined as “any person, corporation, or partnership who chooses to submit a proposal.” See the detailed scope of work section in the solicitation for a complete listing of work requirements and expectations from applicants.
Note: A pre-proposal conference will be held on June 18, 2018 at 11:00 AM Mountain Standard Time/Daylight Time in at ALTSD, 625 Silver SW, Suite 400, Albuquerque, NM. Attendance at the pre-proposal conference is highly recommended, but not a prerequisite for submission of a proposal.
