Albuquerque Public Schools: Community Mental Health Trauma Informed Education And Services
Albuquerque Public Schools (APS) is requesting proposals for Community Mental Health Providers that will work with Health and Wellness Teams at selected school sites to provide therapeutic services to students, work cooperatively with families, and provide professional development for staff regarding trauma informed schools.
In accordance with the APS Academic Master Plan Strategy: Developing the Whole Child Action Plan, the awarded Community Mental Health Provider will provide improved access to mental and behavioral health services in identified schools. The target outcomes include: 1) provide trauma informed professional development for the school staff; 2) attend health and wellness team meetings; and 3) provide direct services to 150 students referred for acute behavioral and mental health issues. Additional services may include:
- Ongoing staff consultation and coaching at chosen school sites for fidelity in implementing the service model proposed
- Administrative oversight of consultants trained by provider through ongoing training and staff support
- Preliminary school administrator set up and exit interviews for thorough implementation of the service model proposed
Amount: A contract award will be made (specific amount not specified). The contract will be for one year with the option for three additional one-year extensions.
Eligibility: An “Offeror” or “Proposer” is any person, corporation, or partnership who chooses to submit a proposal or a bid.
