Albuquerque Public Schools Education Foundation: Achieve AwardsDeadline: October 1, 2015
The Albuquerque Public Schools (APS) Education Foundation is a 501 (c)(3) non-profit organization established to promote private support of the district and its students. It mobilizes resources and develops community partnerships to support excellence in APS. The Achieve Grant is a twice-a-year grant process for student activities or after-school groups at the middle and high school level. Its purpose is to help student engagement and support clubs and activities, which do much to support students beyond the regular school day.
Last year, among the funded proposals for the Achieve Grant was a Best Buddies program at Desert Ridge Middle School, science clubs at Atrisco Heritage Academy High School and Kennedy Middle School, and a thespian conference that was attended by drama students at Cibola High. Principals must endorse the application.
Amount: Proposals of up to $10,000 will be considered. There is approximately $45,000 in total grant funding available. The grant should not be the sole source of funding.
Eligibility: Any APS school-sponsored activity, club, or group.
