Albuquerque Public Schools Education Foundation: Guhl Literacy Awards
Guhl Literacy Awards support school leaders in improving literacy at the Pre-K-5 level. Guhl Literacy Awards are intended to fund programs or projects with the potential to serve large numbers of students and to improve the literacy of students in a measurable way. The Albuquerque Public Schools (APS) Education Foundation envisions its grant programs as an opportunity to pilot new, innovative, or promising programs in the district, and seeks applications which reflect that vision. The ultimate goal is to create a project – or continue a project – that advances early literacy in a measurable way.
Amount: Applicants should propose a project budget of between $15,000 and $35,000.
Eligibility: School principals or members of the school’s administrative team. If the applicant is not the principal, the applicant must certify that the principal has read the proposal, including the budget, and supports the application. Only APS employees may submit applications.
