Albuquerque Public Schools (APS) seeks proposals to establish a contract through competitive negotiations for the procurement of Occupational Therapy (OT) and Physical Therapy (PT) Services for Special Education. Companies may bid on both OT and PT Services, or just OT or PT Services individually.
All contractor service assignments are issued directly by the Special Education Department in accord with vendor availability and student needs. Contractors will determine how many hours they are available to work per day/per week and will submit a statement of such availability to the APS Special Education Department. The APS Special Education Department will then propose a service schedule to the contractor for her/his approval. The contractor will design and implement therapy service or evaluations, including teacher consultation services and home programs, appropriate to meet the need of the individual students as determined by the Individualized Education Programs (IEP) Committee for each student for whom service is provided according to the state and federal regulations and within professional ethics for Occupational Therapy Services.
- Perform Occupational and Physical Therapy Service in accord with the applicable standard of care
- Complete federal and state documentation governing the provision of, and payment for, vendors’ services
- Provide progress reports on the treatment of student(s), Medicaid documentation, or other evaluation reports as may be appropriate or required for each student
Amount: Agreements will be determined as a flat hourly rate.
