Bernalillo County: Community Event SponsorshipsDeadline: April 25, 2014
The County of Bernalillo Board of County Commissioners has appropriated one time funding for the purpose of funding Community Event Sponsorships to benefit County residents. The Office of Health and Social Services will consider funding request submittals from non-profit, community-based organizations with successful outcomes. The purpose is to fund community events that are free to the public. Awarded events shall support activities and projects with the objective of enhancing the community and ensuring that health, recreational, art and cultural activities are available.
The scope of service categories are as follows: 1) Families at Risk; 2) Youth at Risk; 3) Families and Youth at Risk; 4) Community Health; 5) Arts and Culture; 6) Substance Abuse; 7) Community Outreach; 8) Before and After School programs; 9) Day Care; 10) Mentorship programs; 11) Education and Mentorship programs; 12) Senior programs; 13) Transportation programs; 14) Food Distribution programs; 15) Shelter programs; 16) Youth Leadership programs.
Amount: Awards are based on a one-time funding opportunity and will not exceed $10,000.00 per agency.
Eligibility: Nonprofit organizations. Provide proof of status including a certificate of non-profit incorporation; certification from the State of New Mexico Department of the Treasury; U.S. Internal Revenue Service 501(c)(3) determination letter; or the State of New Mexico Office of the Secretary of State. Agencies must have an active board, be in good standing with the Attorney General’s Office, and have adopted personnel, accounting, and conflict of interest policies.
