Captain Planet Foundation: ecoSTEM GrantsDeadline: January 15, 2020
The mission of the Captain Planet Foundation is to give the next generation of environmental stewards an active understanding and love for the natural world in which they live. The Foundation funds and supports hands-on environmental projects that inspire and empower children and youth around the world as they work individually and collectively creating environmental solutions in their homes, schools, and communities.
Captain Planet Foundation has developed four ecoSTEM Resource Kits, which are perfect for educators getting started with project-based learning. These custom-curated and designed collections of lessons and materials facilitate ecoSTEM learning and using the environment as a context for applying knowledge. Grantees may choose from four kits (Pollinator Kit, Renewable Energy Kit, Water Kit, Earth Kit) for use with Next Generation Science Standards, GA Standards of Excellence in Science, and state standards in Three-Dimensional Science. Limit one kit per application.
