CEC ArtsLink ProjectsDeadline: January 16, 2017
ArtsLink Projects provides support to US artists, curators, presenters, and arts organizations undertaking projects in any of the 37 eligible countries listed below. Applicants must be working with an artist or organization in that region and projects should be designed to benefit participants and audiences in both the U.S. and the host country. In 2017, ArtsLink will support projects in visual and media arts that take place between May 1, 2017 and April 30, 2018.
Support is provided to:
- Create new work that draws inspiration from interaction with artists and the community in the country visited
- Establish mutually beneficial exchange of ideas and expertise between artists, arts organizations, and the local community
- Pursue artistic cooperation that will enrich creative or professional development, or has potential to expand the community’s access to the art of other cultures
Amount: Awards generally range from $2,500 to $10,000.
Eligibility: Applications will be accepted from individual artists, curators, and non-profit arts organizations working in visual and media arts. Applicants must be citizens or permanent residents of the United States. Students, administrators, critics, and amateur groups are not eligible to apply. Projects focusing solely on research and film/video post-production are not eligible. In 2017, applications in performing arts and literature are not eligible. Eligible countries include: Afghanistan, Albania, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Bosnia & Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Czech Republic, Egypt, Estonia, Georgia, Hungary, Israel, Kazakhstan, Kosovo, Kyrgyzstan, Latvia, Lebanon, Lithuania, Macedonia, Moldova, Mongolia, Montenegro, Palestine, Poland, Romania, Russia, Serbia, Slovak Republic, Slovenia, Syria, Tajikistan, Turkey, Turkmenistan, Ukraine, and Uzbekistan.
