Echoing Green Fellowship

Deadline: April 20, 2021

Echoing Green fellows are social innovators and visionary leaders who are committed to upending structural oppression and creating change in their communities by founding a new organization that works toward these goals. This is a full-time fellowship that offers leadership development, seed resources, retreats and networking events, and expert partners. Fellows are working across a range of issues areas: Climate change, education, health, human rights, poverty, and racial justice. Echoing Green strongly encourages change-makers who identify as Black, Indigenous, and people of color to apply.

Amount: $80,000 stipend for fellow’s full-time work.

Eligibility: Applicants must be over 18 years old, fluent in English, and able to commit full-time to their start-up organization. Applicants must be the primary decision-maker and have ultimate authority over the growth and strategic vision of their organization.

The applicant’s organization must be in its start-up phase, and independent and autonomous (cannot be under the management of another organization). Organizations working with a fiscal sponsor are eligible. The organization must be the original idea of the applicant, and can be structured as a nonprofit, for-profit, or hybrid—organizations do not need to be established as 501(c)(3) status or registered in order to be eligible. An organization does not have to be run by only one individual, but only a single applicant per organization is eligible to apply. Organizations still in the idea phase are eligible.
