Home Depot Foundation: Community Impact Grants

The Home Depot Foundation invests in organizations and projects that use the power of volunteers to improve the physical health of their community. The Foundation’s mission is to ensure that every veteran has a safe place to call home. As such, priority will be placed on volunteer project applications that fit the following criteria:

  • Projects that serve veterans and their families, including repairing homes or improving facilities
  • Projects that involve veterans volunteering to help other veterans in the communities where they live

The most competitive grant proposals will specifically identify projects for veterans and will include housing repairs, modifications, and weatherization work.

Amount: Up to $5,000 per grant. Grants are given in the form of The Home Depot gift cards for the purchase of tools, materials, or services.

Eligibility: Nonprofit organizations with 501(c)(3) status and tax-exempt public service agencies (e.g. police/fire departments) in the U.S.
