Kerr Foundation

The Kerr Foundation supports nonprofit organizations, programs, and institutions that provide new or enhanced opportunity to those within the granting areas, particularly the young. The Foundation believes that this is best accomplished in the areas of education, health, cultural development and community service as follows:

• Education – Institutions of higher learning and pre-collegiate organizations including health science centers and medical research done by educational institutions
• Arts and Culture – Organizations in the visual arts and performing arts areas, museums, and libraries
• Health – Institutions providing health care, doing medical research, or outreach organizations employing primarily professionals from the allied health area
• Human Services – Organizations providing services in diverse areas to the public, and specifically to the disadvantaged, people with special needs, and the elderly

Amount: Not stated. Favorable consideration of a proposal will normally be in the form of a challenge grant. The challenge amount is usually dollar for dollar, and normally must be secured within twelve months from the date of the award.

Eligibility: Nonprofit organizations in Oklahoma, Arkansas, Colorado, Kansas, Missouri, New Mexico, Texas, and Washington DC.
