Los Alamos National Labs (LANL) Foundation
The LANL Foundation exists to enhance the vitality of Northern New Mexico by investing in education, learning, and community development. It makes grants in two categories in order to fulfill its commitment to children and the community:
- Education Outreach Grants directly support education programs for public school children in grades K–12.
- Community Outreach Grants still meet the LANL Foundation’s mission and vision of innovative programming, collaboration, and advocacy for lifelong learning but might not be as directly tied to K–12 public education. (Early childhood, adult learning, or community events are few focus areas that fall under this category.)
Amount: Annual giving is approximately $125,000, with grants ranging up to $2,500.
Eligibility: Tax-exempt, nonprofit organizations registered and in good standing with the New Mexico Office of the Attorney General; school districts; state government agencies; and pueblo/tribal communities. Programs must serve the seven northern New Mexico counties of Los Alamos, Mora, Rio Arriba, San Miguel, Sandoval, Santa Fe, or Taos.
