Lowe’s Toolbox for Education

The Lowe’s Charitable and Education Foundation is accepting applications for the Toolbox for Education grant program, which supports projects that encourage parent involvement in local schools and build stronger community spirit.

One-year grants will be awarded in support of projects that have a permanent impact on a school community such as a facility enhancement (indoor or outdoor) or landscaping/clean-up project. In addition, Toolbox grants can be used as part of a large-scale project like the construction of playground. This year, the Lowe’s Foundation is seeking ways to provide the tools that help educators and parent groups through today’s challenging times efficiently, while providing the greatest impact, with basic necessities taking priority.

Amount: Between $2,000 and $5,000 per school is available. Lowe’s will donate up to $5 million to schools and school parent teacher groups at as many as 1,000 different schools during the school year.

Eligibility: Public K-12 schools or nonprofit parent groups associated with such a school. Parent groups that are applying (PTO, PTA, etc.) must have an independent EIN and official 501(c)(3) tax-exempt status.
