Lowe’s Toolbox for EducationDeadline: October 15, 2014
The Lowe’s Charitable and Education Foundation is accepting applications for the Toolbox for Education grant program, which supports projects that encourage parent involvement in local schools and build stronger community spirit.
One-year grants will be awarded in support of projects that have a permanent impact on a school community such as a facility enhancement (indoor or outdoor) or landscaping/clean-up project. In addition, Toolbox grants can be used as part of a large-scale project like the construction of playground.
Amount: Between $2,000 and $5,000 per school is available. Lowe’s will donate up to $5 million to schools and school parent teacher groups at as many as 1,000 different schools during the school year.
Eligibility: Public K-12 schools or nonprofit parent groups associated with such a school. Parent groups that are applying (PTO, PTA, etc.) must have an independent EIN and official 501(c)(3) tax-exempt status.
Note: If 1,500 applications are received prior to the closing date of October 15, 2014, the application period will close early.
