National Environmental Education Foundation: Every Day Capacity Building Grants
The National Environmental Education Foundation supports lifelong environmental learning by connecting people to knowledge they can use to improve the quality of their lives and the health of the planet. Through a partnership with Toyota Motor Sales USA, the Foundation will award capacity-building grants to “Friends Groups,” which are defined as nonprofit, community-based organizations with a core mission is to improve and promote the responsible use of a public land or water site in the United States. Grants will be made for capacity building; examples include: strategic planning, marketing and communications, leadership capacity (board or executive), improved fundraising, assessments, and staff training.
Amount: Up to $5,000.
Eligibility: Applicants must be a 501(c)(3) nonprofit or working through a fiscal agent; have been in existence for at least two years; and be a community-based nonprofit organization whose mission is focused on serving a public land site in the United States and the improvement and responsible use of that site.
