Network of Ensemble Theaters: Net/Ten Travel GrantsDeadline: September 18, 2018
The Network of Ensemble Theaters (NET) Travel & Exchange Network (NET/TEN) prioritizes relationship building and knowledge sharing. The grants are intended to create new opportunities for reciprocal exchanges with peers and colleagues to share information, techniques, inspiration, expertise, and performances among ensembles to strengthen the work of individual ensembles and the field as a whole. NET/TEN grants encourage open-ended explorations without the pressure of finished products or projects; they are designed to be flexible and to support a wide range of activities.
Grants of up to $2,000 will be awarded in support of international or domestic activities that initiate and strengthen relationships; remove barriers of distance and travel; meet potential cross-sector and cross-discipline partners (i.e., collaborations with those outside the arts, or from arts disciplines or genres beyond the member’s own); and/or explore new practices, ideas, or methods. Activities may include but are not limited to observerships, shared rehearsals, planning, training, and/or other explorations with outside partners. Artistic, administrative, and technical/production-based projects are welcome.
Amount: Grants range from $500-$2,000.
Eligibility: Applicants must be a NET member in good standing (grantees must remain NET members in good standing throughout the full project period) and be affiliated with an ensemble. In addition, the applicant must have an address and the ability to receive funds in the United States.
