New Mexico Outdoor Recreation Division: Outdoor Equity FundDeadline: June 30, 2021
The Outdoor Equity Fund was created to allow low-income youth (18 and younger) equitable access to the outdoors. Funding supports transformative outdoor experiences that foster stewardship and respect for New Mexico lands, waters, and cultural heritage. Applicants must have a well-developed plan to engage low-income youth in nature-based outdoor recreation activities, serve a population of at least 40% low income youth, and must include some type of education plan on climate and the environment. Grants will be split between tribal, rural, acequia/land grant, and urban communities.
Amount: Grants range from $1,500- $20,000. A 1:1 match cash or in-kind match is required.
Eligibility: Nonprofits; Municipalities, K-12 schools / districts; higher education institutions; and tribes, pueblos, and nations.
