Newman’s Own: Unique Opportunities to Improve Quality of Life for Military Families

Newman’s Own, Fisher House Foundation, and Military Times (Gannett Government Media Corporation) are joining together to present $200,000 in grants to the most creative military quality of life improvement plans. Grants will help service members, Veterans, and their families rise to the challenge of maintaining a healthy lifestyle while facing the unique trials that come with having dedicated their lives in service to our nation. These families often face long deployments and separation, and many must cope with the long-term effects associated with service. Programs should be innovative: breaking new ground to improve quality of life for Active Duty, Reserve, Guard, Veterans, and their families.

Amount: Grants of up to $50,000 each will be made.

Eligibility: Organizations classified as tax-exempt under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code that comprise mainly volunteers and improve the quality of life for families with members of the military who are active duty, reserve, guard, or veterans.
