Santa Fe Community Foundation: Fall 2015 Cycle

The Santa Fe Community Foundation helps donors plan and carry out their giving in Santa Fe and beyond. Through its seasonal grant cycles, the Foundation seeks to fund the broadest range of strong organizations in order to address unmet community need and inspire increased levels of funding from donors. The Foundation is devoted to building healthy and vital communities in the region where:

  • Racial, cultural or economic differences do not limit access to health, education, or employment
  • Diverse audiences enjoy the many arts and cultural heritages of the region
  • All sectors of the community take responsibility for ensuring a healthy environment

The Fall grant cycle considers applications in the fields of Health, Human Services, Arts, and Animal Welfare.

Health and Human Services priorities:

  • Improving early childhood health and developmental outcomes particularly for high need/risk children and families
  • Improving the health of underserved residents of the region
  • Improving access to affordable healthy food
  • Strengthening the delivery of low-income housing and homelessness services
  • Improving safety for children, women, families, sexual minorities, and the elderly
  • Supporting public policy, civic engagement, community organizing, or public information to improve the health and well-being of local residents

Arts priorities:

  • Increasing public engagement in the arts
  • Supporting public policy, community organizing or public information to strengthen the arts segment of the creative economy locally

Animal Welfare: The Foundation does not have funds specifically designated for animal welfare-related grants, but include summaries of all animal welfare proposals (that meet basic due diligence) in the Giving Together catalogue that accompanies the Fall Community Grant Cycle. The Giving Together catalogue is then shared with Foundation fundholders who are invited to make grants toward any proposal in the catalogue.
