Solidaire: Black Liberation Pooled FundDeadline: February 26, 2021
The Black Liberation Pooled Fund (BLPF) pools resources to then allocate to the powerful ecosystem of Black-led social change organizations around the country. Through multi-year grants, the BLPF will fortify Black resistance organizing, embolden the imagination and creation of liberatory Black futures, and invest in the development of Black movement infrastructure.
The BLPF encourages proposals from both long-term anchor movement partners working towards Black liberation, and smaller, innovative, start-up organizations who are rounding out the broader ecosystem of Black-led movement building. The Fund seeks to support the movement ecosystem by:
- Resourcing Black-led organizations, projects, and groups.
- Making multi-year general operating support commitments.
- Funding movement groups – directly supporting individual organizations or projects that are developing a thriving Black-led movement ecosystem.
- Funding regranting vehicles – supporting organizations or projects that are rooted in and governed by Black community leaders, and redistributing resources within their communities.
Interested parties may apply to the Black Liberation Pooled Fund directly, or nominate a project or organization that will be a good fit for the Fund.
Amount: Not specified.
