Southwest Capital Bank: Community Giving Program

The Southwest Capital Bank’s community giving program focuses on supporting organizations that directly affect the diverse communities it serves and positively impacts low-and-moderate income populations through initiatives focused on alleviating symptoms of poverty in central and northern New Mexico. Grantmaking focus areas include:

1. Poverty alleviation: Grants support organizations and programs that address both basic needs issues like hunger and shelter, as well as long-term initiatives designed to systemically change outcomes for low-and-moderate income families. Specifically, the Bank supports the following areas as a means to change outcomes for families and individuals living in poverty.

  • Financial Literacy
  • Education
  • Economic Development
  • Basic Needs

2. Community grants: Often times the communities served by the bank, in particular, its rural communities, employees, or its Leadership Team will identify areas of need that fall outside of the main focus areas. Some funding has been allocated to support those special initiatives.

Amount: Grant ranges vary based on need and community; no average size listed.
