USA Swimming Foundation: Make a Splash Program
One of the guiding principles of the Make a Splash initiative is to share the life-saving message of learn-to-swim with every community in the nation. In order to reach the widest audience possible, the USA Swimming Foundation partners with swim lesson providers across the country who are willing to promote water safety education to their communities and/or provide scholarships for children to participate in their swim lesson programs. The Make a Splash initiative will award grants to organizations to help provide services to children who, otherwise would not have the opportunity to participate in swim lessons.
Amount: A total of more than $600,000 is available to award grants that will range from $1,000-$15,000. Individual nonprofit organizations that are not also a municipality (or operating on behalf of a municipality), county organization, or school district are eligible to apply for up to $5,000. See guidelines for more details regarding applicant type and maximum request amounts.
Eligibility: Applicants must be a USA Swimming Foundation Make a Splash Local Partner and may include nonprofit organizations; municipalities; and for-profit organizations. Interested swim lesson providers who are not yet Make a Splash Local Partners will need to complete the local partner application before December 31 to be eligible to apply.
