USArtists International – Winter CycleDeadline: December 4, 2015
USArtists International (USAI) supports performances by American artists at important cultural festivals and arts marketplaces around the globe. Committed to the presence of U.S. based artists on world stages, USArtists International provides grants to ensembles and individual performers in dance, music and theatre invited to perform at significant international festivals. USAI encourages and promotes the vibrant diversity of American artists and creative expression in the performing arts by expanding opportunity and exposure to international audiences, encouraging international cultural exchange, and enhancing creative and professional development of U.S. based artists by providing connections with presenters, curators and artists around the world. USAI extends the reach and impact of professional artists dependent on touring for continued sustainability and career advancement.
Amount: $1,000-$15,000, with most grants in the range of $1,000-$10,000.
Eligibility: Dance, music or theater ensemble or solo artist, including practitioners of folk and traditional forms, that work at a professional level; currently reside in the United States or its territories; be designated by the Internal Revenue Service as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, or have a U.S.-based fiscal sponsor that is designated as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization.
Note: There are two other deadlines: September 4, 2015 for projects taking place between December 15, 2015 and December 14, 2016; and April 15, 2016 for projects taking place between July 15, 2016 and July 14, 2017.
