Westinghouse: N-Vision a Brighter Future Grant
N-Vision a Brighter Future grants support schools and teachers who want their students to learn more about STEM through a hands-on project. The program will consider any creative hands-on project dealing with STEM. Grants may be used to compensate experts who come to work with students. Funds may also be used purchase equipment, or provide field trip transportation, but not when these are ends alone. Equipment and trips should be one component of a well-planned project, integrated with other curriculum materials and activities.
Projects that involve students, and that incorporate community resources and utilize interdisciplinary or team-teaching strategies are preferred. Grants can be used to help cover costs of materials, supplies, and other expenses related to conducting local workshops or training sessions.
Amount: Three schools will be awarded $1,000 to complete the project by the end of the school year. Another $2,000 will be awarded to these schools’ science departments for their needs.
Eligibility: Any U.S. elementary, middle, or high school.
