516 Arts: Fulcrum Fund
516 Arts is offering a fourth round of Emergency Relief Grants through its Fulcrum Fund designated for New Mexico-based visual artists and artspaces that have been impacted financially by the pandemic. Grants are intended to pay for essentials like rent, utilities, groceries, childcare, and medicine. Additionally, artist-run or alternative artspaces focused on visual arts are invited to apply for in support of their operations.
Note: For this opportunity, visual arts encompass traditional forms such as painting drawing, sculpture, installation as well as photography, film/video, new media, sound art, performance art, socially-engaged artistic practices, and interdisciplinary work that is based in visual art.
* Individual artists: New Mexico-based, professional, visual artists who make some or all of their living from their artistic practice and who have lost income as a result of the Covid-19 pandemic.
* Artspaces: New Mexico-based, artist-run or alternative artspaces, and 501(c)3 nonprofit organizations that have a demonstrable track record of presenting high-quality visual arts programming are invited to apply for grants of up to $5,000. 501(c)3 nonprofit status is not a requirement to apply.
Amount: A total of $60,000 is available. Individuals may apply to grants that range up to $1,000; artspaces may apply to grants of up to $5,000.
