Climate variability and change present society with significant economic, health, safety, and security challenges. The Climate Program Office (CPO) addresses these climate challenges by supporting climate research, observations, monitoring, modeling, assessments, interdisciplinary decision support, research, outreach, education, and partnership development. One competition in FY21 is the Atmospheric Chemistry, Carbon Cycle, and Climate (AC4) Program and Climate Observations and Monitoring (COM) Program – Atmospheric impacts due to changes in anthropogenic activity during the COVID-19 pandemic. Amount: $1,000,000 will be available to make awards of up to $200,000 per year for up to two years for the COVID-19 pandemic focus. Eligibility: Institutions of higher education, nonprofits, commercial organizations, international organizations, and tribal governments. Deadline: Letter of intent deadline is August 17, 2020; Full application deadline: November 30, 2020.
