FedEx: Small Business Grant Contest

Businesses have grown stronger and wiser over the last year. And the valuable new lessons they have learned have helped them become more focused than ever before. Through the FedEx Small Business Grant Contest, businesses have the opportunity to share information about their business – why it was started, what does the business do, what does it do differently or better than competitors, are there social causes that are important to the business, how would the award enhance the business.

Amount: A total of 12 awards will be made, as follows: one $50,000 award, one $30,000 award, and 10 $15,000 awards.

Eligibility: Legal residents of the United States and the District of Columbia who are independent owners/operators of an eligible for-profit small business that is domiciled in the United States or District of Columbia, and which has been in continuous operation selling a product or service for not less than six months as of February 16, 2021. Additionally businesses must meet all of the following criteria:

a. Entrant/owner must be at least 18 years of age
b. The business must be currently active, lawful, have all necessary and required licenses and registrations
c. Entrant/owner must be an authorized agent of the registered business
d. The business must be in good standing
e. The business must have a valid 9-digit FedEx shipping account number (see contest website to create an account, if needed)
f. The business must have a shipping need for the business
g. The business must have no more than 99 employees on its payroll at the time of submission (sole proprietors are considered employees, and part-time employees are included)
