Mohamed bin Zayed Species Conservation Fund: COVID-19 Relief Grant
The Mohamed bin Zayed Species Conservation Fund aims to provide targeted grants to individual species conservation initiatives, recognize leaders in the field of species conservation, and elevate the importance of species in the broader conservation debate. The Fund is temporarily changing the focus of its small grants to support the core operational costs of local, grassroots, species conservation organizations which are struggling financially due to the COVID-19 pandemic, and as a result face personnel or financial constraints in conducting species conservation work in 2021.
Amount: Grants range $15,000-$25,000.
Eligibility: Legally-established in the country of operations (local), small, independent, field conservation non-governmental, non-for-profit organizations. Individuals whose work focuses on species conservation are also eligible. Special consideration will be given to organisations based in localities with little or no financial relief from government authorities.
Deadlines: October 31, 2020 and February 28, 2021.
