New Mexico Early Childhood Education & Care Department: Child Care Health and Safety Grants
The New Mexico Child Care Health and Safety Grants will provide funds to support student success, including the following:
* Health and safety costs that have occurred as a result of the public health emergency such as enhanced cleaning and sanitation to ensure the health and safety of children and early childhood education and care professionals.
* Other costs that have occurred as a result of the public health emergency, such as staffing increases, technology and furniture purchases, remodeling, creating outdoor learning spaces, or any other expenses associated with supporting student success
Amount: Grants range up to $2,500 per program.
Eligibility: Child care centers and homes licensed by the Early Childhood Education and Care Department (ECECD) under 8.16.2 NMAC, and employ between one and 50 employees located in New Mexico. The facility must be headquartered in New Mexico or providing services in New Mexico.
Deadline: The grant will be offered on a first come basis, until funding is available, or until March 31, 2021.
