New Mexico Oil & Gas Association: Brighter Future Fund

The New Mexico Oil & Gas Association (NMOGA) is a statewide coalition of oil and natural gas stakeholders dedicated to promoting the safe and environmentally responsible development of New Mexico’s oil and natural gas resources. NMOGA has partnered with the Albuquerque Community Foundation (ACF) on the Brighter Future Fund to ensure its philanthropic funds are invested strategically in communities throughout New Mexico. Funding focus areas include: Education, Economic Opportunity, and Hunger. Within each of these areas, specific attention will be paid to the following:

  • Education (early childhood–adult): Programs that support STEM development and achievement; strengthen and promote family engagement through education; provide training, access, or professional development for teachers to incorporate social-emotional learning and trauma-informed learning; and provide access to technology and distance learning for at-risk populations.
  • Economic Opportunities: Programs that offer skills-based education or workforce training to improve economic opportunities for New Mexico residents; financial literacy programs so families and individuals can build financial assets; and programs that provide small business development to stimulate local economic growth and revitalization during/after COVID-19.
