School-Based Healthcare Solutions Network: COVID-19 Student Support Recovery Grant
School-Based Healthcare Solutions Network (SBHSN) seeks to support school district, school-based telehealth program services. Telehealth is the distribution of health-related services and information via electronic information and telecommunication technologies. It allows long-distance patient and clinician contact, care, advice, reminders, education, intervention, monitoring, and remote admissions.
The COVID-19 Student Support Recovery Grant aims to promote a collaborative and integrated approach amongst the education and healthcare community to ensure students succeed academically, socially, and emotionally while confined to home learning mandates during the nation’s current national emergency. Funding shall staff licensed mental health professionals to coordinate behavioral health services utilizing Telehealth technology and academic coordination activities with school administration in collaboration with school district designated program personnel.
Amount: $5,000,000 is available to make up to 25 awards that range up to $250,000. The project period is up to five years.
Eligibility: Local Education Agencies (LEAs); charter school management companies; charter schools; and private schools (faith based and non-faith based).
Deadline: Applications accepted on a rolling basis for the 2021-2022 school year until awards are expended.
