Toshiba America Foundation: Grants for Grades 6-12
Toshiba America Foundation (TAF) grants fund the projects, ideas, and materials teachers need to innovate in their science, technology, engineering and math classrooms. TAF is interested in funding innovative projects designed by teachers or small teams of teachers for use in their own schools and classroom.. TAF is interested in funding projects designed by teachers or small teams of teachers for use in their own schools and classrooms. The Foundation believes that science and mathematics are exciting fields in which all students can succeed with the proper tools and instruction.
The Foundation is currently considering the impact of the Corona virus on teachers and education. Once again, it is for the teachers to determine how to work in or without the live classroom. As such, the Foundation will now consider alternative proposals contingent upon how, when, and if schools are open as usual. Under the circumstances, it will also try to be more accommodating in considering the kinds of equipment or expenses it can fund.
Note: Applications must be for project based learning. Requests for computers only are not typically considered (however, per above, due to Corona the Foundation may consider differing kinds of equipment).
Amount: Not provided; grants of more than $5,000 are considered for the above deadlines.
Eligibility: Science and math teachers in public or private (non-profit) schools may apply.
Deadline: May 1 and November 1 in 2021 for grants above $5,000. Grant requests for $5,000 or less are accepted quarterly on a rolling basis.
