Albuquerque Involved

Albuquerque Involved serves those who want to connect with their community but who struggle to find the time or place to start. It makes it easy for busy individuals and families to get involved in giving and service to nonprofits in the greater Albuquerque community. The hope is for members to find agencies that ignite their passion and inspire them to get involved in those nonprofits directly.

Nonprofit organization may apply for any need which is likely to appeal to Albuquerque Involved’s membership. It does not prohibit applications for capital improvement, salaries, or any other use permitted by the IRS. Nonprofits may apply as many times as they want, focusing on as many different needs as they like.

Each month, all member contributions are combined and awarded as a grant to one local nonprofit agency. Albuquerque Involved members view three short videos submitted by local nonprofits that describe their need and vote on which organization of the three should receive the grant.

Amount: A total of $24,229 was awarded in 2017 to 12 organizations. Individual award amounts are not specified but tend to range from $1,000-$2,500.

Eligibility: Tax-exempt, nonprofit organizations that serve the greater Albuquerque community.
