American Medical Association: Healthy Living Grant ProgramDeadline: September 11, 2015
The American Medical Association’s Healthy Living Grant Program supports health education programs to develop school and community-based solutions to behavioral health challenges. Funding will support projects in the areas of:
- Youth-Focused Prescription Medication Safety: Projects should focus specifically on prescription drug safety and target youth ages 12-21 years old.
- Cancer Prevention Education: Projects should focus on a specific type of cancer and include an education and awareness component.
For both types of grants, the project audience should include under-served, at-risk populations.
Amount: Not provided; grant amounts will vary.
Eligibility: Nonprofit, non-governmental organizations in existence for at least one year. Organizations must partner with a medical organization, which may include hospitals, free clinics, public health departments, medical associations, or nonprofit associations.
