Annie’s Grants for Gardens

Annie’s is a food company with the mission to cultivate a healthier and happier world by spreading goodness through nourishing foods, honest words, and conduct that is considerate and forever kind to the planet. Annie’s offers Grants for Gardens donations to schools and other educational programs that help build school gardens. The school garden must be an edible school garden (growing fruits, vegetables, herbs, grains, etc.) and be located in the United States. Grant funds may be used to purchase any equipment appropriate for the garden, such as plants, seeds, raised beds, fencing, wheelbarrows, greenhouses, and drip irrigation systems.

Amount: A total of $150,000 in grants will be awarded. Forty-five schools will receive $3,000 and three schools (that are returning Grants for Gardens applicants who have received a grant in the past five years) will be eligible to receive $5,000.

Eligibility: The following types of organizations are eligible to apply:

  • Public schools
  • Public charter schools
  • Private schools with 501(c)(3) non-profit status
  • 501(c)(3) or charity non-profit organizations supporting a garden at a public or a non-profit private school
  • School districts supporting a garden at a public or a non-profit private school
  • Homeschools with 501(c)(3) or charity status
