APS Education Foundation: Achieve Awards
The Achieve Grant is a twice-a-year grant process specifically detailed to submissions on behalf of student activities or after-school groups at the elementary, middle, and high school level. Its purpose: Help student engagement and support clubs and activities, which do much to support students beyond the regular school day.
Key criteria include the number of students to be served and the potential of the project to support student engagement through clubs and extracurricular activities. Achieve Awards are funded in part by Intel, Wells Fargo, Verizon, and Blue Cross and Blue Shield of New Mexico.
Principals must be willing to support the submissions. Applicants should also outline what other fundraising the group has done to support the project. The Foundation prefers not to be the sole source of funding, as funding is limited and needs are great.
Amount: A total of about $50,000 is available. Proposals can be for any amount between $250-$10,000, although note that funding is limited and large grants will be rare.
Eligibility: APS employees may submit on behalf of any school-sponsored activity, club, or group.
