APS Education Foundation: Success AwardsDeadline: September 6, 2016
The APS Education Foundation will make two awards in the fall of 2016 for schools to implement during the 2016-2017 school year and if requested, during the 2017-2018 school year. Ideas or projects that promote innovative school-level programs with measurable impact are encouraged. The ultimate goal is to create a project – or continue a project – that advances student achievement.
Schools may apply for a wide variety of needs, including professional development. Out-of-state travel requests are not allowed. Schools making large technology requests should consult with Jason Johnson before requesting laptop carts, computer labs, or large numbers of Chromebooks to insure that the school’s infrastructure is sufficient to meet the needs.
Amount: Two awards of $25,000 each will be made.
Eligibility: A school principal, member of the school’s administrative team, or district department-level director may apply. The grant is intended to serve large groups of students, not just a single class or club. Any application must be approved by the school’s principal. Only one application accepted per school (elementary, middle, and high schools are eligible to apply). Collaborative proposals between schools are welcome. Only APS employees are allowed to submit applications.
