Association for Medical Imaging Management: Putting Patients First Program
The Putting Patients First Program seeks to improve pediatric and adult patient care and safety in diagnostic imaging through funding programs, training, or seminars that have this as a goal. The programs funded by these grants will be used to create a best-practices tool to share with other hospitals and institutions. Beyond receiving funds, the grant recipients will publish an article in an American Healthcare Radiology Administrators (AHRA) (now named the Association for Medical Imaging Management) publication about their innovative program to improve patient care and safety in diagnostic imaging.
Amount: Dependent on project type, as follows:
Six grants of up to $7,500 are available to be awarded to single-site hospitals and imaging centers.
- Two grants will be awarded for projects that improve the safety and comfort of pediatric imaging.
- Two grants will be awarded for projects that improve overall patient care and safety in imaging.
- Two grants will be awarded for projects focusing on oncology imaging.
Two grants of up to $10,000 are available to be awarded to an Integrated Delivery Network (IDN) or hospital system.
- One grant will be awarded for projects that improve overall patient care and safety in imaging implemented across the IDN/hospital system.
- One grant will be awarded for projects that improve cybersecurity in imaging implemented across the IDN/hospital system.
Eligibility: IDN/health systems, single-site hospitals, single-site imaging centers.
