Banfield Foundation: Safer Together Grants
The Banfield Foundation is committed to supporting organizations that provide veterinary assistance to pet owners and work to keep pets in homes with their families. Safer Together Grants provide funding to pet-friendly domestic violence shelters, animal shelters, boarding facilities, or foster care systems in order to help with veterinary care, temporary boarding, behavior training, and funding of dedicated animal care positions in support of pets of domestic violence victims. Funding can be awarded to the domestic violence shelter or to a nonprofit housing the pets which has a formal established relationship with at least one nonprofit domestic violence shelter.
Additionally, the Foundation is offering Safer Together Kick Off Grants in 2019 that will provide funding for capital projects designed to enhance dedicated pet spaces or elevate the well-being of pets being sheltered on-site.
Amount: General grants range up to $15,000 and capital grants range up to $25,000.
Eligibility: Tax-exempt, nonprofit organizations.
