Cabela’s Outdoor Fund

The Cabela’s Outdoor Fund was established to protect the outdoor lifestyle and the right to bear arms, hunt, fish and trap. Its goal is to ensure future generations can enjoy the activities of hunting, fishing, camping, and recreational shooting. Efforts that focus on the recruitment, retention and re-activation of hunters, anglers, campers, and recreational shooters are a priority.

• Hunting and shooting: The Cabela’s Outdoor Fund has an interest in programs that recruit, retain and re-activate hunters and recreational shooting enthusiasts. Priority will be given to efforts that focus on non-traditional and novice participants in these areas: hands-on training opportunities; self-learning tools; and mentor networks and programs.
• Fishing: The Cabela’s Outdoor Fund has an interest in programs that recruit, retain, and re-activate anglers. Priority will be given to efforts that focus on non-traditional and novice participants in these areas: provide skills and social support; and increase diversity of participants.
• Camping: The Cabela’s Outdoor Fund has an interest in programs that recruit, retain and re-activate campers. Priority will be given to efforts that focus on non-traditional and novice participants in these areas: provide skills and social support; connect people to nature and increase appreciation for conservation; and use camping to build relationships and promote healthy lifestyles.

Amount: Not provided. Support may include funding and/or product donations.

Eligibility: Nonprofit organizations.
