Drucker Institute at Claremont Graduate University: The Drucker Prize

Deadline: April 30, 2018

The Drucker Prize recognizes an organization that best exemplifies Peter Drucker’s definition of innovation: “change that creates a new dimension of performance.” The Drucker Prize unfolds in two rounds. The first round is open to any nonprofit organization, while the second round is open to 50 selected semifinalists. Leaders of these semifinalists will then have the opportunity—online and at their own pace—to dive into three specially designed mini-courses on key aspects of innovation and nonprofit performance. As semifinalists take in this material, they will be directed to answer a set of final questions. They will review how their organization uses the practices our experts have covered, as well as how the organization intends to apply any new knowledge going forward. Judges look for highly effective programs that have made a demonstrable difference in the lives of the people they serve. Judges will also take into account how much promise they think an organization shows to further leverage the discipline of innovation based on what has been learned from the resources on The Drucker Prize platform.

Amount: One $100,000 award will be made.

Eligibility: Tax-exempt, nonprofit organizations.
