Finish Line Youth Foundation
The Finish Line Youth Foundation is a philanthropic outlet for the Finish Line to make a difference in the lives of youth in the communities it serves. The Foundation supports organizations that provide opportunities for kids (18 and under) to participate in community-based youth athletic programs and camps that emphasize active lifestyles, especially programs that serve disadvantaged and special needs kids. The Foundation offers three grant programs:
- Founder’s grants: Provides support for emergency needs that would somehow be keeping the organization from providing current services, such as natural disasters or other unforeseen fiscal circumstances
- Legacy grants: Provides support for new facility improvements and/or renovations to existing buildings, grounds, and property
- Programmatic grants: Provide opportunities for kids to participate in community-based youth athletic programs and camps that emphasize active lifestyles, especially programs that serve disadvantaged kids and kids with special needs
Amount: Varies by grant type:
- Founder’s Grants: $5,000-$25,000
- Legacy Grants: $10,000-$75,000
- Programmatic Grants: Up to $5,000
Eligibility: Nonprofit organizations with IRS 501(c)(3) status. No support to public and private schools. Organizations should be located in a community served by Finish Line. Eligible areas include:
- Neighborhood store includes any Finish Line stores within 25 miles of organization
- Area store includes any Finish Line stores within 50 miles of organization
- Regional store includes any Finish Line stores within 100 miles of organization
