Freeport-McMoRan Foundation: Grant County Community Investment FundDeadline: October 31, 2019
The Grant County Community Investment Fund was established by the Freeport-McMoRan Foundation in 2011. The Foundation funds capacity-building programs and initiatives that support people and communities as they address obstacles that prevent them from fully realizing their development goals. The programs and projects the Foundation supports are designed or selected for their ability to increase individual’s capacity; creating a stronger community that is less dependent on a single industry or business and more economically diverse and sustainable.
Grantmaking focus areas include:
- Economic Development
- Leadership and Capacity Building
- Health and Wellness
Preference will be given to projects that address the following outcomes:
- Increase placement in local skilled jobs
- Increase educational attainment
- Increase the number of businesses attracted, retained, and expanded
Amount: At least $400,000 is available to make grants averaging $20,000-$50,000.
Eligibility: Tax-exempt, nonprofit organizations, units of government, or college/university that provide direct services in Grant County, New Mexico. Proposed projects must have budgets larger than $10,000.
