KidsGardening.org: Youth Garden Grant
The Youth Garden Grant supports school and youth educational garden projects that enhance the quality of life for students and their communities. In addition to a cash award, recipients are awarded a variety of gardening tools and supplies, that may include:
- DeerBusters Easy Net Tunnel
- Dramm Corporation Water Nozzle
- Eartheasy Seed Saving Kit and Paper Pot Press
- Fiskars Brands Inc. Hand Tool Package
- Gardener’s Supply Company Tubtrug
- High Mowing Organic Seed Package
- JavaCycle Organic All Purpose Fertilizer
- Smart Pot Big Bag Bed
- SunGro’s BlackGold Natural and Organic Potting Soil
- KidsGardening.org Curriculum Package
Amount: Twenty-five programs will receive award packages valued at $2,100 that include a $1,000 cash prize, a $100 Gardener’s Supply Company gift certificate, and a variety of gardening tools and supplies. Twenty programs will receive award packages valued at $500 that include a $100 Gardener’s Supply Company gift certificate and a variety of gardening tools and supplies.
Eligibility: Any nonprofit organization, public or private school, or youth program in the United States or US Territories planning a new garden program or expanding an established one that serves at least 15 youth between the ages of 3 and 18 is eligible to apply.
