Lowe’s Charitable and Educational Foundation: Toolbox for Education grants

Toolbox for Education grants support public K-12 school education through providing the tools that help educators and parent groups through today’s challenging times efficiently, with basic necessities taking priority. There is also a preference for funding requests that have a permanent impact such as facility enhancement (both indoor and outdoor) as well as landscaping/clean up type projects. Projects that encourage parent involvement and build stronger community spirit will be favored. Generally, projects should fall into one of the following categories: technology upgrades; tools for STEM programs; and facility renovations and safety improvements. Projects should address a critical need and align with Lowe’s company purpose: to help people love where they live.

Amount: Grants range from $2,000-$100,000. Grants have two different applications: one for awards between $2,000-$5,000, and one for awards over $5,000.

Eligibility: Public K-12 schools or nonprofit parent groups associated with such a school. Parent groups that are applying (PTO, PTA, etc.) must have an independent EIN and official 501(c)(3) tax-exempt status.
