The Lowe’s Charitable and Education Foundation Toolbox for Education grant program supports projects that encourage parent involvement in local schools and build stronger community spirit.
This year, the Lowe’s Foundation is seeking ways to provide the tools that help educators and parent groups through today’s challenging times efficiently, while providing the greatest impact, with basic necessities taking priority. Toolbox for Education grants will focus on technology upgrades; tools for STEM programs; facility renovations; and safety improvements
Amount: Between $2,000 and $5,000 per school is available. Lowe’s will donate up to $5 million to schools and school parent teacher groups at as many as 1,000 different schools during the school year.
Eligibility: Public K-12 schools or nonprofit parent groups associated with such a school. Parent groups that are applying (PTO, PTA, etc.) must have an independent EIN and official 501(c)(3) tax-exempt status.
Note: If 1,500 applications are received prior to the closing date of September 26, 2016, the application period may close early.
