National Institute for Health Care Management: Journalism Grants

The National Institute for Health Care Management (NIHCM) Foundation is an organization dedicated to improving the health of Americans by spurring workable and creative solutions to pressing health care problems. The Foundation supports timely health care journalism that informs efforts to improve the health of Americans, and projects that examine emerging health issues and their implications for cost, quality, and access. Grants will provide funding for health reporting, educational opportunities for health care reporters, and/or support for documentary films and their public engagement campaigns.

Projects that can be completed within one year are preferred but the Institute will also consider support for projects already underway or require a longer timeframe, provided applicants can describe anticipated impact and deliverables during the project year.

Amount: A total of up to $300,000 is available to fund up to 10 projects.

Eligibility: All types of organizations and institutions, including both nonprofit and for-profit entities and individual journalists may apply.
