New Mexico Funder Collaborative: Educate 2 Elevate

The Educate2Elevate (E2E) Grant is a collaborative funding opportunity that brings together funds from across New Mexico to pool resources and engage in high impact grantmaking. This grant is a collaborative investment from funders in various sectors and we encourage organizations to demonstrate similar collaborative thinking when submitting applications.

The E2E Grant is focused on supporting paid internships, mentorship programs, or other opportunities that focus on job skills and workforce development training for youth. Programs should support youth by creating pathways toward long-term stability via post-secondary education, trade school, arts, athletics, experiential learning and/or alternative experiences. Key interest areas for this opportunity include programs that provide:

1. Paid Internship Opportunities: Programs that provide payments/stipends to students while gaining job skills and/or workforce development training, in traditional, non-traditional, or experiential settings.
2. Parent/adult/mentor involvement: Programs that engage adults as role models or connect students to professional mentors.
3. Out-of-school time/extended learning programming: Afterschool, summer or other out-of-school time programs that focus on job skills training and/orworkforce development.
4. Experiential/alternative experiences: Programs that provide new learning experiences to students based on feedback/requests from the students and/or provide alternative experiences to understanding a path toward long-term stability (this can be through the arts, athletics, mental health support, non-traditional learning, etc.).
5. Transitional programs: Programs that provide support to youth and families to address the challenges faced by students transitioning to the next level in their education. Thoughtful transitions can be critical in creating a continuum of positive educational trajectory.

Amount: Grants have ranged from $25,000 – $45,000 over the past three years

Eligibility: Organizations must be:
• Exempt from U.S. federal income tax pursuant to section 501(c)(3) of the Internal
