New Mexico Immunization Coalition: Immunization Mini-grants for Local Coalitions and Projects
The Immunization Mini-grant program helps fund special projects, activities, and purchases to improve immunization rates in New Mexico. These grants support the development and enhancement of local immunization coalitions, to raise awareness, and to increase immunization rates through funding local events, educational projects, and promotional materials.
Immunization activities, projects, and/or purchases that are allowable include:
- Coalition development (planning, facilitation, development)
- Promotional or educational materials
- Special events (facility costs, meals)
- Educational events/speakers on immunization
- Conferences/training costs
- Specialized equipment
Other ideas are also considered.
Amount: A total of $12,000 is available to award mini-grants ranging from $500 to $3,000. Applicants are asked to identify in-kind contributions or matching funds in support of each request. Purchases and payments will not be made directly; payments are arranged for goods and services.
Eligibility: Any local immunization coalition (developmental or established); any local Maternal and Child Health or other local health council that has immunization as a priority concern; any health care provider or other community group that would like to hold an immunization improvement activity.
